A Better Way to SMS-Text Messages - And a Relief For Clumsy Fingers!

Have you have ever tried to write a SMS / Text message on the tiny keys of cell phone and cursed your clumsy fingers after the 10th mis-spelling? You will be relieved to learn that you can use a laptop or PC to compose and send SMS / Text messages using the comfort of your keyboard!

This is particularly handy for those professionals who regularly use Texts and SMSs for business. Using the nifty 'Skype' software, users can send SMSs and Texts that look like the real thing as if sent from their cell/mobile phones.

Simply pick the recipient's phone number from Skype's phone book and type in your message on your computer keyboard. You can also 'cut and paste' your text. as well as send the SMS to multiple recipients at once.

For your recipients your texts will look the same is those from your cell/mobile phone.

The Skype software can be downloaded for free from Skype.com and requires no special set-up. I do recommend that you register your cell/mobile phone number with Skype, so that the text messages you send look like they came from your phone and your recipients can 'reply' to them.

The costs are substantially cheaper than sending from your cell /mobile phone. Skype also has the added advantage of logging each message including a delivery confirmation.

Skype also allows you to make free voice and video calls to other Skype users and $0.02 per minute calls to any phone world-wide. It also allows you to send IM messages (similar to ICQ, Yahooo Messenger, etc.) as well as electronic files such as photos and documents.

Overall a very handy piece of software!
